2nd Platoon, ‘C’ Company 504th MP Battalion Bong Son, Vietnam Late summer, 1967 Jim Cassel (no relation to me and spelled with one 'L' only) was a member of the 2nd platoon of 'C' company stationed at Bong Son and he e-mailed me a photo last year of most of the guys serving there at that time. He added names to the photo and it is a great reference for the platoon members. The photo was taken in late 1967.
	“I (Jerry Cassell) was with 2nd platoon, C Company from May of 67 to March of 68. We were at LZ Two Bits in Bong Son with the 1st CAV until early 68 and then moved south to LZ Uplift. Later I heard the platoon moved back to An Khe before the company moved North.” Sign reads: Home of 2nd Platoon C Company 504th MP BN “A” 18th MP Brigade.
“I didn't see any photos of 2nd platoon at Bong Son, so I am e-mailing three that have suffered over time, but maybe you could use them. Two are of the compound at Two Bits and one is of a patrol from the platoon. All would have been taken in late 1967.”
	“Taken on the communications hill overlooking LZ Uplift on Hwy #1 just south of Bong Son.” Can anyone identify any one in this group? Thanks to Terry Harden, who recognized himself as the young man lower right front. And another one! Along with Harden, I am the guy leaning on the left rear corner of the jeep. My name is George Grandish, I was a squad leader. The guy in the passenger seat is our platoon sgt. We called him "kahuna," respectfully of course. Another one heard from! Tom McNally is standing on the back of the jeep beside Sgt. Grandish.
